Psychological reports or letters (e.g., relating to forensic/legal, Centrelink, EAP, educational, immigration, or Workcover/TAC) are charged according to time and materials depending on work involved and the resources used. These costs are not eligible for rebates from Medicare or Private Health Funds.  These reports cannot be completed in intervention sessions where rebates are being claimed under a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan.

Medicare rebates

We are not a bulk-billing clinic. Patients referred under a valid Better Access Mental Health Care Plan, can claim $136.35 per session back from Medicare. Please ensure your Medicare card is linked to your bank account for this rebate to be passed on quickly to you.

If you belong to a Private Health Fund, you may be able to claim a rebate for psychology services depending on your level of cover. Please contact your health fund for information.

A Medicare rebate can only be claimed for services provided and cannot be used to cover cancellation or non-attendance fees.

Workcover and NDIS clients are welcome and we are skilled at helping you recover from injury/conditions under these schemes. TAC referrals are billed privately, and some reimbursement can be obtained from the TAC directly.

DVA Recipients will not be charged out-of-pocket fees for intervention sessions where we receive a valid referral from your doctor, and you hold a valid Gold Card or White Card for the condition being treated.

Where you have attended an appointment and the insurer subsequently does not pay us for your psychological intervention, you will be expected to pay for that appointment.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please call and give us more than 24 hours’ notice or a cancellation fee will apply. It is our reasonable expectation that you are responsible and aware of your scheduled appointment time. We deliberately do not send reminder texts or calls because your commitment to your treatment is important.

Generally, 50% of the appointment fee is charged if appointments are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice. Where appointments are not cancelled and you fail to attend, you will be charged the full fee for the session not attended. NDIS appointments are charged at the hourly rate.

Where fees are unpaid, no further appointments will be offered until the outstanding account is settled.

If you want to make another appointment, the cancellation fee can be paid at the start of the next appointment. Alternatively, you may directly deposit the cancellation fee to our bank account prior to your next appointment (please contact us for our bank details if you wish to use this option). A receipt will be posted to you when payment clears.

Where cancellation fees are not paid within 7 business days after the missed appointment and you have not made another appointment with us, you will be posted an invoice for the outstanding amount due. Please pay this amount promptly (by the due date on the invoice) to avoid your account being referred to a debt collection agency.

Where you have been referred by a doctor under a Better Access Mental Health Care Plan, this referral will be closed and the doctor notified if a cancellation fee remains unpaid and/or no future appointments are made within 2 weeks of your last appointment.
